Leela Ehrhart, MA, CET I

Thank you for visiting my page. I honor you for taking this difficult first step. I believe that we are all whole, no matter what has happened to us, and no matter how we may feel about ourselves.

Trauma, grief, loss, addiction, codependency, and family dysfunction can cause us to become disconnected from our innate wholeness. I believe it is that disconnection which robs us of our sense of agency and our ability to move through our life in an adaptive way. I view therapy as a collaborative process where we co-create new experiences, perspectives, thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, together.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling, with concentrations in both addiction and trauma treatment, and I am a Certified Experiential Therapist (CET I). I use EMDR, mindfulness, psychodramatic, and other experiential techniques in conjunction with more traditional talk therapy to help facilitate growth, change, healing, and reconnection. I have always been drawn to the creative arts, making music for as long as I can remember, and working for many years as a jewelry designer and maker before entering the field of counseling. It is my passion for the healing power of the creative arts helps fuel my passion for the experiential therapy modalities I use in my work today. I am ready to meet you where you are and go on this journey with you.
