DESCRIPTION:Register Here! \n  \nDESCRIPTION\n\n\n\nCenter For Families is excited to host our first symposium\, Emerging Trends in Mental Health Treatment\, on November 8th and 9th\, 2018. The symposium will be held at Center for Families\, 1225 Montrose Ave in Bryn Mawr\, Pennsylvania. \nIntended audience: Social workers\, counselors\, therapists\, graduate students\, physicians\, caseworkers and mental health advocates are invited to attend this 2-day symposium to further examine the trends professionals are experiencing within the field while providing practical and interactive techniques to incorporate into your own clinical work. Full attendance of this educational symposium will provide ten (10) continuing education units (CEU). \nThe 2-day symposium will feature top practictioners within the Greater Philadelphia area: \n\nDancing with Chaos: The Science of Mental Health\, by Dr. Theodore James Fallon\, Jr\, MD\, MPH\, FAACAP\, FABP\nMedia\, Messaging and Youth: Navigating the Misinformation Highway\, by A. Michael Blanche\, MSS\, LCSW\nDisordered Eating: Recognizing the Signs and Symptoms of Eating Disorders and When to Refer for Medical Management\, by Dr. Janice Hillman\, MD\, FACP\niREST Yoga Nidra\, by Nancy Bogle St. John\, Certified Yoga Nidra Teacher\nGroup Treatment in Action: Sociometry\, Psychodrama\, and Experiential Trauma Therapy (2 sessions)\, by Scott Giacomucci\, MSS\, LCSW\, CTTS\, CET III\, CP\, PAT\, and Karen Levin\, MSS\, LCSW\nHow Suicidal Thoughts Become Suicidal Acts\, by Tony Salvatore\, MA\nFamily Therapy and Split Loyalty\, by Brynn Cicippio\, LMFT\, CAADC\n\nThis program offers 5 hours each day\, or a total of 10 hours for both days of continuing education units for Pennsylvania social workers\, marriage and family therapists\, and professional counselors. \nPhoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy (formerly known as Giacomucci & Walker\, LLC) is a co-sponsor of this workshop.
