DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Experiential Trauma Therapy \nFebruary 12th 10am – 12pm | 2 CE Hours \n\n\nDr. Scott Giacomucci\, DSW\, LCSW\, CTTS\, CET III\, PAT \nDelaware County Women Against Rape (Closed Event) \nThis experiential workshop will present an overview of experiential trauma therapy with a focus on action-based clinical interventions that move the process beyond words and talking. The importance of safety and a strengths-based approach will be highlighted as it relates to both group work and individual therapy. Group based sociometric and psychodramatic techniques will be demonstrated for teaching purposes and to engage participants with each other. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nUnderstand the importance of safety in experiential trauma work\nDescribe how strengths-based work helps establish safety\nIdentify one neuroscience finding that supports experiential therapy
