Whether initiated by choice\, necessity\, or circumstance\, estrangement brings with it a range of emotions: grief\, anger\, confusion\, and sometimes even relief. In this workshop we will explore the psychological\, relational\, and social dimensions of estrangement\, and what it means to live in the space between connection and separation. \nThis webinar is designed to offer insight\, validation\, and tools for those working to support others through estrangement\, or who are experiencing it themselves. We’ll examine common causes and patterns\, the role of trauma and identity\, and how healing can look different for everyone – whether through reconciliation\, boundary-setting\, or finding peace with distance. Together\, we aim to create a compassionate space to reflect\, learn\, and move forward with greater clarity and understanding. \n\nLearning Objectives:\nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will be able to:\n\n\nExplore the psychological\, emotional\, and social dimensions of estrangement\, including its causes and common patterns.\nIdentify the impact of estrangement on mental health and well-being for individuals and families.\nIntroduce strategies for coping with estrangement and fostering healing and/or acceptance\n\n \nAbout the Presenter:\n\nDenise Chain\, M.S.\, NCC\, CTP (she/her/hers) earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Neumann University and her Master of Science from Neumann’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program.
