SUMMARY:Trauma-Informed Psychodrama Directing Practice
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Dr. Scott Giacomucci\, DSW\, LCSW\, BCD\, CGP\, FAAETS\, TEP \nMonday-Friday\, March 9 – March 13\, 2026 (8:30AM-5:30PM) \nCost: $1150 Professionals | $800 students (this fee guarantees a directing opportunity) DIRECTING TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT  –  NON-DIRECTING TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE \n$850 (Reduced cost option for those interested in attending without directing practice) \nPhoenix Center – 524 N. Providence Road Media\, PA 19063 \n35 CE Hours for NBCC\, and PA social workers\, counselors\, MFTs\, & Psychologists | 35 training hours provided towards experiential and psychodrama certifications. \nAbout the Workshop\nThis psychodrama directing practice is designed for psychodrama students\, practitioners\, and trainers-in-training to enhance their directing through a trauma-informed lens. Participants will have the opportunity to facilitate a group psychodrama and receive feedback from their peers and the trainer. Feedback will be provided based on the psychodrama certification competencies outlined by the ABE\, as well as trauma-informed psychodrama considerations. Each participant will also have the opportunity to be the protagonist and play auxiliary roles to learn psychodrama from the inside-out. \nPsychodrama facilitation competencies emphasized will include a demonstrated understanding of group phases\, the warming-up process\, spontaneity-creativity theory\, role theory\, protagonist selection\, contracting\, scene setting\, concretization\, doubling\, the mirror position\, role reversal\, soliloquy\, directing auxiliaries and the audience\, facilitating catharsis safely\,  facilitating closure/integration\, containment\, strength-based roles\, trauma-informed principles in psychodrama\, attending to issues of diversity\, equity\, and inclusion in psychodrama\, subroles of the director\, and facilitating the sharing phase of a psychodrama session. \nPrevious Experience\nWhile this is a training workshop\, and training will be held as the priority\, there will be a multitude of secondary opportunities for personal growth. The workshop tickets with directing practice are designed for intermediate and advanced psychodrama students and would not be the best workshop for someone who has no prior psychodrama training. Participants are expected to have past experiential/psychodrama experience as a prerequisite for purchasing a ticket with directing practice\, as well as a foundational understanding of psychodrama’s methodology. \nTickets without directing practice are open to anyone\, regardless of past psychodrama experience. This workshop will be attractive for anyone seeking to enhance their psychodrama facilitation skills – and especially for professionals with some psychodrama experience seeking to more fully put their learning into action. Professionals warming-up to complete their CP/TEP onsite exams will also find this workshop helpful as the trainer will provide feedback using the same competencies outlined for the CP/TEP onsite exams. \nLearning Objectives:\n\nExplain at least two psychodrama interventions\nIdentify the three phases of a psychodrama group\nDescribe at least two trauma-informed considerations for psychodrama directing\n\nBy purchasing tickets and registering for this event\, you confirm that you agree with the Phoenix Center’s Informed Consent for Experiential Training Workshops and our workshop\, cancellation\, and refund policies. \n  \n\nTo Register for this Workshop\nPlease complete Steps 1 and 2.  Registration is not confirmed until payment is received.\nStep 1: Pay for the event by using our Paypal Payment System (you can enter a credit card as a payment option). \nSold Out3/9/26-3/13/26 Professional Registration (Directing Spot) for 3/9/26-3/13/26 Trauma-Informed Psychodrama Directing Practice1150.00 USDSold Out3/9/26-3/13/26 Student Registration (Directing Spot) for 3/9/26-3/13/26 Trauma-Informed Psychodrama Directing Practice800.00 USD0123456789103/9/26-3/13/26 Professional Registration (Non-Directing Spot) for Trauma-Informed Psychodrama Directing Practice850.00 USDYour eTicket will be emailed after payment to your PayPal email address.\nStep 2: Fill out registration form – YOU MUST USE THE SAME EMAIL YOU USE FOR PAYPAL WHEN YOU FILL OUT THE EVENT REGISTRATION FORM.  \n \nStep 3: You will hear from us with a confirmation email (same you used for PayPal and registration) indicating your registration and information about the event in a few days. SUMMARY:Free Webinar: Unraveling the Connection Between Dementia and Trauma in Aging Adults
DESCRIPTION:Presented by: Chris Klem\, MS (he/him) \nDate/Time: Wednesday\, February 25\, 2026 |  12:00PM – 1:00PM EST \nLocation: Virtual/Zoom \nCE Hours: 1 CE Hour for NBCC\, PA SW\, LPC\, LMFT\, and Psychologists \nAbout This Webinar\nWhen examining mental health and dementia\, they may seem very different\, but both fundamentally involve the brain and can significantly affect daily life. Researchers estimate that by 2060\, 42% of Americans over the age of 55 will develop dementia\, a sharp increase from the current rate of 10.9%\, which is already a significant number. As mental health professionals\, we can help reduce risk factors associated with developing dementia\, which often begin in early life. \nIn this 1-hour Webinar\, we will begin to unravel the connection that exists between dementia\, mental health\, and trauma.  We will explore overall brain health\, brain changes\, how mental health conditions impact cognitive changes\, and how psychiatric conditions manifest in the presence of dementia. \n \nLearning Objectives\n1. Describe the connection between dementia and depression.\n2. Explain how trauma in early life can impact risk factors for developing dementia.\n3. Recognize how certain treatments for depression can impact the rate of cognitive decline.\n\nWorkshop Policies and CE Education Hours\nContinuing Education Hours and Training Credits\nPlease note that participants must attend the entire training event to receive CE/training credits. Providence Road Media\, PA 19063 \n35 CE Hours for APA\, NBCC\, and PA social workers\, counselors\, MFTs\, & Psychologists | 35 training hours provided towards experiential and psychodrama certifications. \nAbout the Workshop \nThis psychodrama directing practice is designed for psychodrama students\, practitioners\, and trainers-in-training to enhance their directing through a trauma-informed lens. \nWhile this is a training workshop\, and training will be held as the priority\, there will be a multitude of secondary opportunities for personal growth. Tickets without directing practice are open to anyone\, regardless of past psychodrama experience. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nExplain at least two psychodrama interventions\nIdentify the three phases of a psychodrama group\nDescribe at least two trauma-informed considerations for psychodrama directing\n\n  \nBy purchasing tickets and registering for this event\, you confirm that you agree with the Phoenix Center’s Informed Consent for Experiential Therapy Training. \nPURCHASE YOUR TICKET BELOW AND FILL OUT OUR REGISTRATION FORM HERE!\n\nPlease follow the following steps to pay and register for this workshop:\nStep 1: Pay for the event using PayPal. \nStep 2: Fill out the registration form – YOU MUST USE THE SAME EMAIL YOU USE FOR PAYPAL WHEN YOU FILL OUT THE EVENT REGISTRATION FORM.  \n \nStep 3: You will hear from us with a confirmation email (the same one you used for PayPal and registration) indicating your registration and information about the event in a few days. While personal growth is often a byproduct of experiential learning in psychodrama\, the primary purpose of this workshop is training. If you are seeking a workshop for personal growth or seeking a professional training event that is entirely didactic (lecture/powerpoint)\, this is probably not the best workshop for you. \nFor folks traveling from out of town\, there is a new beautiful bed and breakfast just 1 block from the Phoenix Center that we recommend. Tattoos have been used throughout history to mark initiation\, status or roles in the community\, or for religious/spiritual purposes. Over 30% of the US population has at least one tattoo. This means that we are frequently working with clients with tattoos which can offer us potent insight into their meaning-making process. \nMultiple research studies have highlighted how tattoos offer trauma or loss survivors with an avenue for healing\, bearing witness\, memorializing pain\, combating shame\, and initiating connection. This workshop will explore tattoos as a concretization of pain and meaning-making for both the therapist and clients. \nLearning Objectives:\n1). Identify one research finding related to tattoos and trauma or loss2). Describe one group warm-up related to tattoos\n3). Explain one use of psychodrama to explore tattoos \n \n\nWorkshop Policies and CE Education Hours\nContinuing Education Hours and Training Credits\nPlease note that participants must attend the entire training event to receive CE/training credits. The training will also introduce evidence-based approaches that incorporate dissociation-informed care within trauma treatment models.\n\n\n\nLearning Objectives\n\nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will be able to:\n\n\nDefine dissociation and describe how it may present along a continuum in clinical settings.\nIdentify three dissociative experiences that may show up in clients with trauma\, addiction\, or BPD.\nDescribe three introductory strategies for responding to dissociative symptoms in the context of trauma-informed care.\n\n\nTo Register\, please fill out the Registration Form Below\n \nCE Program Policies and Procedures related to Refunds/Cancellations\, Grievances\, and Conflicts of Interest can be found here. \nFor the workshop schedule or other details or questions about the workshop\, please contact us at Support@PhoenixTraumaCenter.com. \n___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nContinuing Education (CE) Approval Statements relevant to this workshop: \n\nContinuing Education (CE) Approval Statements relevant to this workshop:\n\nPhoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy\, LLC (Lic. #004115) has been approved as a pre-approved provider of professional continuing education for social workers (Section 47.36)\, Marriage and Family Therapist (Section 48.36) and Professional Counselors (Section 49.36) by the PA State Board of Social Workers\, Marriage & Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.\nPhoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychologists (Lic. # PSY000215) to offer continuing education for psychologists.\nPhoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy\, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider\, ACEP No. 7013. Through psychodrama and sociometry\, we will explore internal roles as well as spiritual\, existential\, and archetypal domains. Drawing from the mystical teachings of Jacob L. Moreno and other traditions\, we will examine how the individual’s internal experience resonates within group processes and connects to broader transpersonal themes. Throughout the workshop\, we will examine religious\, spiritual\, and existential themes with a sensitivity to the trauma and harm that many have experienced from religion in the past. Utilizing a blend of psychodrama\, sociodrama\, and axiodramatic methods\, we will consider not only personal relationships and inner conflicts but also the universal patterns that shape our human experience. This workshop will provide participants with the tools to engage with clients in individual or group contexts in the intrapsychic and transpersonal realms\, helping them uncover new meaning and purpose within life. Emphasis will be placed on internal roles and transpersonal roles throughout the workshop. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nIdentify two concepts from Moreno’s mystical belief system\nExplain the value of utilizing internal roles in psychodrama\nIdentify two ways to utilize spiritual or archetypal stories/roles in group process\n\nBy purchasing tickets and registering for this event\, you confirm that you agree with the Phoenix Center’s Informed Consent for Experiential Therapy Training. \n___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nPlease follow the following steps to pay and register for this workshop:\nStep 1: Pay for event using Paypal. \nStep 2: Fill out registration form – YOU MUST USE THE SAME EMAIL YOU USE FOR PAYPAL WHEN YOU FILL OUT THE EVENT REGISTRATION FORM.  \n \nStep 3: You will hear from us with a confirmation email (same you used for PayPal and registration) indicating your registration and information about the event in a few days.
