DESCRIPTION:NOTE: OUR RECENT EMAIL BLAST LISTED AN INCORRECT TIME – THE WORKSHOP TIME IS 3-6PM (EST) \n \nResolution through Psychodrama: Addressing Incomplete Endings Caused by Coronavirus \nWednesday July 8th\, 2020 | 3-6pm (EST)- 3 CE Hours for PA social workers\, counselors\, Marriage and Family Therapists\, & psychologists \nDr. Scott Giacomucci\, DSW\, LCSW\, BCD\, FAAETS\, PATONLINE WORKSHOP \n USD\nCoronavirus has actively disrupted many societal and cultural rituals of completion or celebration – including graduations and funerals. The surplus reality of psychodrama offers unique avenues for closure and completion. This workshop will present a psychodramatic perspective to closure\, completion\, resolution\, and integration. Theoretical elements will be addressed including act hunger\, catharsis of integration\, act completion\, and the power of surplus reality scenes for repair and corrective emotional experiences related to unresolved business. Practical aspects of safely facilitating psychodramatic and experiential processes for closure will be demonstrated and discussed.  \nLearning Objectives: \nExplain the importance of closure in psychodrama \nDescribe the psychodramatic concept of catharsis of integration \nIdentify one experiential intervention to help promote closure \nPhoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy\, LLC (Lic. #004115) has been approved as a pre-approved provider of professional continuing education for social workers (Section 47.36)\, Marriage and Family Therapist (Section 48.36) and Professional Counselors (Section 49.36) by the PA State Board of Social Workers\, Marriage & Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.
