DESCRIPTION:ASGPP Education Committee presents a 3-hour FREE OF CHARGE Workshop\, \nEthical Challenges in Psychodrama Relationships\, Practice and Training:\nCultivating a Culture of Integrity and Humility \nWEDNESDAY\, JUNE 2\, 2021\n6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Eastern Time (US & Canada) \nCo-creating safe and beneficial professional relationships and environments requires mindfulness and care to ethical concerns. Whether a psychodramatist is practicing in a clinical\, coaching\, educational\, legal or other profession\, understanding of and adherence to ethical standards and codes is essential. \nIn this experiential education workshop\, ASGPP offers an ethics consciousness-raising session. Presenters cover the power differential inherent in fiduciary relationships\, and the different ethical standards and codes psychodramatists are required to follow. Panelists also present procedures for filing a complaint with the American Society for Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (ASGPP)\, and the Ethics Complaint Policies and Procedures for filing a complaint with the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama\, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy. \nAfter the panel discussion\, a series of hypothetical scenarios on ethical issues of particular concern in the practice and training of psychodrama are covered. These include: dual/multiple relationships; therapeutic use of touch; informed consent; use of self-disclosure; and psychodrama on Zoom. DESCRIPTION:Social Work\, Sociometry\, and Psychodrama: Experiential Approaches for Group Therapists\, Community Leaders\, and Social Workers \nInternational Association of Social Work with Groups (IASWG) Online Symposium – www.IASWG.org \nWednesday June 9th 2-3pm \nScott Giacomucci; Amy Stone; & Haydn Briggs \n  \nParticipants of this course will learn to: \n1) describe at least one theoretical similarity between social work with groups and sociometry/psychodrama \n2) discuss the significance of strengths\, safety\, & connection in experiential work \n3) utilize at least one experiential group tool for cultivating mutual aid \n  \nBrief description up to 75 words \nThis workshop presents trauma-informed experiential group tools useful in any social work group setting including clinical work\, teaching\, supervision\, and community work. These action-based tools emphasize mutual aid dynamics\, experiential teaching\, neurobiology\, and relationships. The unique capacity for experiential activities to facilitate connection will be demonstrated through sociometric and psychodramatic processes. Implementation of these activities will be demonstrated for online groups with emphasis on their utility in engaging clients\, students\, and colleagues.
