SUMMARY:Behind the Curtain: Uncovering Dissociation in Therapy
DESCRIPTION:Presented by: Lauren Rudolph\, LPC \nDate: Wednesday\, August 6\, 2025 \nTime: 12:00PM-1:00PM\, EST \nLocation: Online/Zoom \nCE: Provides 1 CE Hour for NBCC\, PA SW\, LPC\, LMFT and Psychologists \nAbout the Webinar: \nDissociation is often misunderstood and can be easily missed in clinical settings – by both the clinician and the client. Yet\, when unrecognized\, dissociation can interfere with therapeutic progress and block access to healing. This 1-hour continuing education training provides a foundational overview of dissociation\, helping clinicians become more attuned to its presence and impact in the treatment setting.\n\nParticipants will explore the dissociative continuum – from everyday detachment to more severe dissociative states\, and gain insight into how dissociation manifests in trauma\, substance use\, and personality disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). The training will also introduce evidence-based approaches that incorporate dissociation-informed care within trauma treatment models.\n\n\n\nLearning Objectives\n\nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will be able to:\n\n\nDefine dissociation and describe how it may present along a continuum in clinical settings.\nIdentify three dissociative experiences that may show up in clients with trauma\, addiction\, or BPD.\nDescribe three introductory strategies for responding to dissociative symptoms in the context of trauma-informed care.\n\n\nTo Register\, please fill out the Registration Form Below\n \nCE Program Policies and Procedures related to Refunds/Cancellations\, Grievances\, and Conflicts of Interest can be found here. \nFor the workshop schedule or other details or questions about the workshop\, please contact us at Support@PhoenixTraumaCenter.com. \n___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nContinuing Education (CE) Approval Statements relevant to this workshop: \n\nContinuing Education (CE) Approval Statements relevant to this workshop:\n\nPhoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy\, LLC (Lic. #004115) has been approved as a pre-approved provider of professional continuing education for social workers (Section 47.36)\, Marriage and Family Therapist (Section 48.36) and Professional Counselors (Section 49.36) by the PA State Board of Social Workers\, Marriage & Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.\nPhoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychologists (Lic. # PSY000215) to offer continuing education for psychologists.\nPhoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy\, LLC has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider\, ACEP No. 7013.
