Date & Time: Group meets every Tuesday from 4:00-6:00pm. Group will be open to new members during the first and second session, after that, this will be a closed group for 10 weeks.

Location: In person at the Phoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy (524 N. Providence Road, Media, PA 19063)

Cost: $85 per session (lower cost rates are available based on need)

About this group:

The purpose of this group is to bring together first responders who have experienced or witnessed traumatic events during the course of their employment. This group is aimed at using mutual aid within the group, psychoeducation, and experiential therapy techniques to reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress and help group members move towards growth and wellness. PTSD reduction symptomology will be assessed at the beginning and post-group.

This group is open to those actively working as a first responder (LEO, EMS, firefighter, military, frontline worker, etc.) Members must be 21+ (exceptions may be made based on level of development).

David F Moran MSW, LCSW, CADC, TEP (he, him, his) has worked professionally in the behavioral health field since 1993. He has years of experience providing treatment for first responders and professional training for first responders. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Trainer, Educator and Practitioner of Psychodrama, Sociometry and Group Psychotherapy (TEP), Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC), Co-occurring Disorder Professional (CCDP). Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) International Association (EMDRIA) trained level I & II, trained trauma therapist, and Attuned Reiki Specialist level II. David is also trained as an Interventionist through the National Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependency.  Learn more about Dave on his bio page.

Hayley Berot (she/her/hers) is a counseling intern who earned a B.A. in Psychology from Neumann University and is currently working towards completing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Immaculata University. Hayley has a vast array of clinical experience working with victims of crime as an advocate and counselor. She has worked with both children and adults who have experienced various forms of trauma including, but not limited to, sexual assault, intimate partner violence, grief and loss, substance abuse, and attachment trauma. She also volunteered as a firefighter and first responder for several years where she was able to assist individuals through a time of unexpected tragedy. Learn more about Hayley on her bio page.
