Parents of children with high needs often experience increased stress and need a place to share their experiences. Join us for a free virtual support group where we will discuss topics related to the stressors of parenting high needs children, have space to share, and learn various grounding techniques to help manage emotions. If you are a parent of neurodivergent children, children with developmental or intellectual disabilities, and/or children with mental and physical health issues, please join us Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:00am. Starts Sept 10th, 2025.

Meryl Lammers, LSW, MT-BC

Meryl Lammers Trauma Therapist, Delaware County PA

Meryl Lammers (she/her/hers) is an Experiential Trauma Therapist and has been a practicing board-certified music therapist since 2005. She also works with people of all ages on the Autism Spectrum and those with a wide range of developmental and cognitive abilities.

Meryl’s has a humanistic, relational, and strengths-based approach to psychotherapy.  She understands that the creative healing arts is rooted in the belief that each person holds the innate power to heal, grow, and flourish.  Meryl believes that the therapist is a guide to help navigate the process. Coming from a trauma-informed lens, Meryl also understands the impact that traumatic experiences can have and is dedicated to providing individualized care.

Melissa Baird, Clinical Intern

Melissa Baird, Clinical Intern, Low-Cost Therapy in Delaware County, PA

Melissa Baird (she/her/hers) is a current graduate student at Neumann University, led to the program because of its integration of spirituality and mental health counseling. A former elementary school teacher in the Chicago public school system, she transitioned to full-time parenting 18 years ago.

Melissa is trained as a spiritual director and offers deep listening and non-judgmental  acceptance to the sacred space of therapy sessions. She begins with the foundation that  every person is enough, as they are in the present moment. This reality often gets buried by life experiences including shame, trauma, loss, and anxiety.
