About This Webinar

Community activists often carry the emotional, physical, and relational toll of prolonged engagement with social injustice, systemic oppression, and collective trauma. This presentation explores how somatic therapy can support activists in processing social unrest, sustaining engagement, and reconnecting with their values while preventing burnout and compassion fatigue.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify the mental, emotional, and somatic impacts of sustained activism and social justice work
  2. Understand how systemic oppression and social unrest show up in the body and nervous system
  3. Apply basic somatic interventions to support regulation and expand capacity
