Psychodrama Directing Supervised Practice

4 CE hours for PA social workers, counselors, marriage and family therapist, psychologists & training hours OR 4 Experiential Supervision Hours

This workshop focuses on the role of psychodrama director and the safe/effective use of experiential therapy techniques through teletherapy. A brief history of psychodrama and technology will be included with emphasis on teletherapy as the new normal in psychotherapy. Participants will explore ways to modify simple experiential techniques for use in teletherapy (individual & group) sessions. A psychodrama vignette will be demonstrated and participants will have an opportunity to practice directing psychodrama vignettes with each other.

  • Identify the importance of warm-up
  • Describe one method for moving a group into action
  • Explain one method for maintaining group safety
