Reva Bottles (she/her) is a clinical intern at the Phoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy and a second-year graduate student at Bryn Mawr College’s Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. After more than a decade in the corporate world, Reva made the decision to return to school to pursue her long-standing aspiration of becoming a licensed therapist. This transition was deeply influenced by her own journey of personal growth and healing, as well as an innate desire to do meaningful work in support of others who may be struggling.
Reva brings a high level of emotional attunement to her work, meeting clients exactly where they are and co-creating a safe, compassionate therapeutic container. She also draws from her diverse professional background to bring real-world insight, empathy, and a grounded presence to the therapeutic space. Her experience navigating high-pressure environments, managing complex interpersonal dynamics, and supporting others through life transitions enhances her ability to connect with clients from all walks of life.
Therapeutic Approach & Clinical Style
Reva has a relational, client-centered style rooted in authenticity, curiosity, humility, and compassion. She tailors her approach to each client’s unique needs, pulling from an evolving therapeutic toolkit that includes trauma theory, psychodynamic therapy, somatic therapy, mindfulness, the mind-body connection, polyvagal theory, inner-child work, future-self work, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). She is committed to ongoing professional development and is receiving training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), psychodrama, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) during her time at the Phoenix Center to further support clients healing from trauma.

Prior to entering the mental health field, Reva spent ten years as an executive recruiter for healthcare organizations at Korn Ferry. Her earlier career includes roles as an advertising account executive for global brands and media relations on a U.S. presidential campaign and Philadelphia Eagles.
