Are you working toward EMDR certification or looking to deepen your confidence and competence as an EMDR therapist? Our EMDR Consultation Group provides a supportive, collaborative learning community where clinicians can strengthen their EMDR skills while receiving consultation hours that count toward EMDR certification. This small group consultation experience (limited to 8 participants) is designed to help clinicians integrate EMDR into their clinical practice with greater confidence while navigating the certification process.
Whether you are seeking consultation after completing your Basic EMDR Training or simply want to continue refining your clinical work, this consultation group offers a structured environment for professional growth, reflection, and connection with fellow EMDR therapists.
To be a member of this ongoing bi-weekly supervision group, I ask that you commit to attending regularly and be financially responsible for each session, whether you attend or not. Participants are asked to commit to being a part of the group on a semester long basis (Sept-Dec; Jan-April; May-Aug).
Who Is This Group For?
This consultation group is designed for:
- Therapists seeking consultation hours required for completion of EMDR Basic Training
- EMDR-trained clinicians pursuing EMDR Certification
- EMDR therapists who are seeking ongoing consultation, community, and development of advanced skills

Participants should have completed an EMDR Basic Training through an EMDRIA-approved training provider.
What You Will Gain
Our consultation group goes beyond simply meeting certification requirements. The goal is to help participants become more thoughtful, confident, creative, and effective EMDR clinicians.
Topics may include:
- Case consultation and treatment planning
- Case conceptualization using the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model
- EMDR treatment planning for complex trauma and PTSD
- Client readiness and preparation strategies
- Managing blocking beliefs and processing challenges
- Working with dissociation and complex presentations
- Clinical decision-making throughout the eight phases of EMDR
- Integrating EMDR with other therapeutic approaches
- Modifying EMDR therapy for different levels of care, populations, and clinical concerns
- Ethical and trauma-informed considerations
- Navigating vicarious trauma and professional sense of self as an EMDR professional
- Questions related to the EMDR certification process
Each consultation group is shaped by participants’ clinical questions and interests, allowing group members to guide the discussion and learning.
Why Group Consultation?
Learning EMDR is not simply about mastering a protocol or script, it is about developing clinical judgment, flexibility, and confidence. Group consultation provides opportunities to learn not only from your own cases, but also from the experiences and perspectives of other clinicians. Learning is a relational experience at is core.
Participants consistently report that hearing diverse case presentations expands their understanding of EMDR, introduces new intervention ideas, and normalizes many of the challenges encountered while learning the model.
The consultation group also fosters professional connection and community, reducing the isolation many therapists experience in practice settings – especially when they are the only EMDR therapist at their agency.
