About This Group

The postpartum period can feel alienating, stressful, and uncertain. Your birth experience may not have gone the way you expected. Parenting may be harder than you thought it would be. Maybe you don’t have the support or community you need or desire.

Come build community with us at the Phoenix Center through music and play! Work on strengthening your bond with your baby and children while engaged in musical activities designed for both early childhood development and increasing a sense of well-being for all who participate. The group will be led by board-certified music therapist and licensed social worker Meryl Lammers who has been facilitating group music therapy for early childhood through end-of-life care for over 20 years.

Whether you experienced a traumatic birth, aren’t feeling the immediate bond with your baby, are struggling with postpartum depression/anxiety, or you are craving community, you will leave the class feeling supported on your unique journey!
