Mitch Boyle (He/Him/His) is a student clinician pursuing his Master of Social Service degree at Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2021 and brings a diverse combination of professional, educational, and lived experiences that inform his trauma-informed approach to care.
Therapeutic Approach
Mitchell approaches therapy from a strengths-based, person-centered, and trauma-informed perspective, shaped by his own experiences of recovery and personal growth. He believes that healing occurs when individuals are provided with a safe, supportive environment to explore their experiences, reconnect with their authentic selves, and build upon their existing strengths. He has completed over 70 hours of training in psychodrama and is excited to continue expanding his use of this modality.
Mitchell is passionate about helping individuals navigate trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, family challenges, and life transitions. He recognizes the profound impact that trauma can have on a person’s relationship with themselves and others and is committed to supporting clients as they cultivate resilience, self-understanding, and meaningful change. He welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds and strives to create an inclusive, affirming, and collaborative therapeutic space.
Outside of his professional work and education, Mitchell enjoys rock climbing, meditation, spending time in nature, music, art, good coffee, and time with dogs. He believes that connection—to ourselves, others, our communities, and the natural world—can be a powerful catalyst for healing and growth
Professional Experience
Following his undergraduate studies, he worked as a Recovery Support Specialist in a residential treatment setting, supporting individuals navigating substance use and mental health challenges. He recently served as a clinical intern at Malvern Treatment Centers, where he facilitated psychoeducational and process groups.
Mitchell’s commitment to experiential and holistic approaches to healing developed through his participation in an extended wilderness leadership program through the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), where he spent 120 days outdoors developing leadership, self-efficacy, and outdoor living skills. This experience led him to work as a wilderness therapy field guide in Utah, supporting adolescents through mindfulness practices, emotional processing, and experiential learning in nature-based settings.
