April 7, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Yalom’s Therapeutic Factors in Psychodrama & A Socially Distanced Society | 3 CE Hours

Tuesday April 7th, 2020 10am – 1pm

Dr. Scott Giacomucci, DSW, LCSW, CTTS, CET III, PAT

ONLINE ZOOM SESSION – Cost: $60 ($40 for students)

This workshop will outline Yalom’s 11 therapeutic factors in group psychotherapy while experientially engaging participants to explore their own experience of these therapeutic factors in groups. The applicability of these therapeutic factors in psychodrama will be considered – especially as a common language to communicate with other group therapists. Participants will engage in an empty chair vignette related to their learning of these therapeutic factors as well as the infusion of these therapeutic factors into today’s socially distanced society. Together, we will consider how to use experiential methods on zoom and how Yalom’s therapeutic factors may apply to society-as-a-whole.

Learning Objectives: (1) Describe one of Yalom’s therapeutic factors; (2) Explain how the therapeutic factors may apply to psychodrama; (3) Identify one therapeutic factor relevant for society today
