Terrence Lubin (he/him/his) is a Masters’ Degree student at Bryn Mawr’s Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Educational Studies from
Brown University. Terrence’s approach to psychotherapy is relational, strengths-based, and
collaborative. He believes that one’s healing journey involves deepening one’s trust and love for oneself. Terrence is currently pursuing certification in EMDR and incorporates methods from psychodrama, internal family systems, and somatic experiencing into his work.

As a transgender and queer man, he is a strong advocate for LGBTQ+ individuals as well as others affected by systemic oppression. I give you the gift of your own self, with all your emotions. You already have everything you need to heal the pain that has stayed with you from past traumas. I will help you find those
strengths within you, and walk by your side as you take steps toward the future you envision for yourself. I welcome all you bring, and I am fiercely protective of all your wants and needs. Terrence has sixteen years of experience as a parenting coach, helping parents of young children work toward parenting in ways that feel connective, authentic, and positive to themselves and their families.

As a coach, he encourages others to create their own paths, practice trying new things, and pay attention to what feels right to them. His prior experience as
an elementary, kindergarten, and infant-toddler teacher provides extensive knowledge of child development, and he enjoys working with children of all ages as well as adults. Terrence is interested in relationships of all kinds – with ourselves, colleagues, friends, family members, lovers, partners, and therapists. Humans, like all mammals, thrive in community with others. It is through relationships that we experience the greatest joy and pain, anxiety and
belonging. We understand ourselves better when we connect with others, and our healing and recovery take place within safe and nurturing relationships. Terrence finds beauty and reverence within the healing relationship, and is honored to be invited to join your healing journey.

“Authenticity is an orientation, not a destination. Live many lives, each one as true as the last.”
–Alok Vaid-Menon
