Drew believes in the transformative power of human connection and creativity. He utilizes various perspectives and modalities to connect with his clients and tailor individualized sessions and interventions to their specific needs.

With a background in psychiatric crisis intervention and extensive experience working with individuals in acute mental health distress, Drew has honed his skills in providing compassionate support to those navigating the complexities of suicidal ideation, acute mental illness, and persistent mental health challenges. His work in a group home setting with individuals facing chronic mental health conditions has further deepened his understanding of the nuanced needs of this population.

Drew is passionate about integrating and acknowledging diverse perspectives and differences among cultures and people both in and outside the therapeutic space. This enables him to approach counseling from a culturally sensitive standpoint, mindful of how experiences such as discrimination, racism, and variations in values and family structures can profoundly affect an individual’s overall well-being and counseling needs.

Drew is a Thomas Jefferson University student enrolled in the Community Traumas Counseling program, receiving an education that interweaves a fundamental understanding of the most up-to-date trauma research into every aspect of the curriculum. Drew received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey. Drew has an affinity and deep curiosity for understanding other cultures, which was cemented during his time volunteering with the Clinical and Community Studies Lab at MSU. There, he engaged in research and presented at national and local conferences, working to break down systemic barriers and increase inclusivity for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) in research and education. Drew also holds a degree in music that, coupled with a deep appreciation for the arts, particularly an eclectic range of music, he often integrates into therapeutic sessions to facilitate emotional expression and connection.

Drew practices a client-centered approach, working alongside his clients to uncover insights and help illuminate the path to healing and self-discovery. With his collaborative style, peppered with a strength-based ethos and pulling from elements of CBT, Drew is ready to be your biggest cheerleader while providing practical tools for conceptualizing and managing the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Drew’s typical fee is $85 for individual therapy (53 min); He can work on a flexible sliding scale if needed.
