Lauren Williams, BA, CTP, CRS, CFRS, (She/her/They/them) I am in my final year as a graduate student in the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research Master of Social Service Program. I continually seek additional personal growth and professional development opportunities. I have completed EMDR training. I also participate in on-going psychodrama and experiential trainings throughout my internship with the Phoenix Center.

Using an open-minded, non-pathologizing approach, I welcome all of the layers of you into our work together. I will partner with you as you begin recovering from difficult experiences and explore your personal therapeutic needs. By using compassion and curiosity to understand how experiences have impacted you, I can support you in releasing limiting beliefs. We will discover, connect with and build a relationship with the internal healing abilities that are already within you. I believe that healing and recovering happens in relationships, both with ourselves and with others.

My practice is informed by my own personal and professional experiences. Having completed the Level 1 Internal Family Systems training, I know that each of us has the ability to heal from within and to experience inner calm and clarity. IFS is a model that says we all have a core Self that has the inherent ability to help the parts of us that are carrying painful emotions to become less intense and overwhelming. We will get to know the parts of you that are in distress and work towards restoring a sense of inner balance.

In addition to my IFS training, I have worked as a PA Certified Recovery Specialist and Certified Family Recovery Specialist. I have multiple years of experience working with adults in the field of substance use in community, inpatient, and outpatient settings. My experience also includes work in a mental health partial hospitalization program, where I gained experience leading therapeutic groups for adolescents and adults. All of these experiences have shaped my understanding of the impacts of trauma, addictions, grief and loss, as well as the many pathways and possibilities for healing.

“Whatever your reason for seeking therapy, we can work together to find a path back home to yourself. I will provide a safe, supportive and respectful space where you will be seen and heard.”

Lauren‘s typical fee is $125 for individual therapy (50 min); Lauren can work on a flexible sliding scale if needed. Although they only work on a self-pay basis, she is able to provide documentation for clients to submit for out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance provider.
