Michelle McIver, MSW, LSW,LMSW(she/her) is a social worker and clinician that desires to facilitate the healing of individuals, families, couples and communities. Prior to coming to the Phoenix Center, she has held roes as a therapist, supervisor, educator, agency director, and CEO. Michelle brings over a decade of experience in behavioral and mental health. She worked within residential drug and alcohol centers, outpatient facilities, and with vulnerable populations that have experienced interpersonal and community violence, resource deprivation, abandonment, and intergenerational trauma.

Michelle’s client population includes young adults, adults and couples. She specializes in working with individuals living with Substance Use Disorder, Depression, Anxiety, Complex Trauma, Grief and Loss, Workplace and Racial trauma. She works with members of the LGBTQI community, Justice Involved and survivors of domestic violence attempting to navigate through life’s obstacles. Michelle will work with you to discover your strengths to overcome internal and external barriers and continue your journey of healing.

Michelle is a graduate of West Chester University with a master’s degree in social work. Her goal is to support your process in exploring paths that will empower you to utilize your own strengths to resolve identified barriers. Regardless of life’s circumstances she will partner with you to find the paths that work for you, empowering you on the journey of discovery and freedom.

Her integrated treatment modalities include: EMDR, Motivational Interviewing and Strength Based Perspective among many others. She is committed to creating a therapeutically safe environment that is non-judgmental, to focus on what is important to you.

Michelle‘s typical fee is $165 for individual therapy (53 min); she can work on a flexible sliding scale if needed. Although she only works on a self-pay basis, she is able to provide documentation for clients to submit for out-of-network reimbursement from their insurance provider.
