About John

John Webster (he/him/ his) is a graduate student in the Immaculata University Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program. John brings a warm, non-judgmental presence to his work and strives to create a truly safe space for clients to share their story. John comes to the helping profession as a career changer; he spent over ten years in corporate leadership roles where he learned the importance of relationships, strength-building and listening to better understand.

John’s approach is trauma-informed, attentive, and collaborative. He looks forward to working together to process past experiences, traumas, and loss, moving towards a stance of empowerment. He is client-centered and believes each client has the strengths and the insight within to thrive.

John has completed introductory training in EMDR on his path to certification. His approach is integrative of principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and narrative therapy, with an emphasis on reworking the response and stories left by trauma. In addition, John looks for opportunities to incorporate experiential, grounding or mindfulness exercises into his work.
